The period of the Intermediary Services will last between one and three Months.

After expiry of the Intermediary period, there will be a two months default period at fees for recovery of outstanding reimbursements

FEES / CHARGES

• • Commission: 10% of the intermediary outlays per month.
  • Administrative & Maintenance Fees: 3% of intermediary outlays.
  • Importer/Proposer’s Initial Deposit: Not less than 25% of the assessed Import Duty
    payable.
  • Accountable Imprest: 3% of the customs’ assessed duty payable to cover loading,
    transporting, offloading, warehousing and incidental costs.

PROCEDURE FOR PROCUREMENT

1. The Importer shall fill out a “Proposal to Engage Import Intermediary Services”
   Form, sign and submit same with the following annexures.
   i.) Photocopy of Ghana Card
   ii.) Photocopy of Bill of Lading
   iii.) Copy of Assessed Duty Documents
   iv.) Company Registration Documents (To be verified if company)
   v.) Directors’ IDs (Ghana Card, Passport or Drivers’ License)
   vi.) Directors’ Guarantee (If Company)
2. An appraisal report will be presented and defended by an underwriter for
   management consideration and approval or otherwise.
3. Upon approval, an offer letter will be issued to the Importer / Proposer which shall
   outline the terms and conditions underlying the intermediary services to be
   offered and the activities required of the importer / Proposer.
   i.Upon acceptance of the offer and meeting all the conditions precedent by the
   Importer / Proposer, an agreement shall be executed between the company and
   the Importer / Proper after which the agreed intermediary services will be deemed
   to have commenced.
